Farabi, the assistant that knows the server
The first public release: a complete SSH, SFTP and jump-host client, and an assistant that works from facts the app measured on the host.
New
- Farabi — an assistant in a resizable panel beside every terminal (⌘I), grounded in host facts, with Insert vs Run and a local risk guard
- Pick the model and effort per Farabi conversation, across every provider you keep in Settings
- Hooks — activity and AI events to your own webhook, command or JSONL file, signed and masked
- Hop Doctor — a failed connect diagnoses itself hop by hop: DNS, TCP, handshake, host key, login
- Host facts and “since you were last here”, with Explain that may only cite measured changes
- Service map — which saved hosts talk to which, and who a restart would cut off
- Safe Change — one review sheet for every remote save, with the server’s own check, backups and a safety net
- Say it — watches, tunnels and hosts from one sentence, read by rules first
- Injection Shield and egress slots — server text is data, and values stay home
- Test this model — measure your model against the rules on your own sentences
- Open remote files in a local editor, with approval-gated upload
- Sign in and create an account on the web (OAuth 2.0 + PKCE) — the app never sees a password
- Pro activation with your plan or a licence key, seats per licence, and a seven-step first-run setup
- Farabi’s system prompt and skills, editable in the app
- A redesigned host dossier: an overview first, sections worst-first, and lists that never outgrow the page
Improved
Download v1.0.0- A new light and dark design built on Geist
- A local AES-256-GCM vault replaces the OS keychain, so an update never loses a saved secret
- Claude Code and Codex as model runtimes, reusing the login you already have
- Settings, AI providers and hooks in ~/.gatesys-ssh/settings.json, with a schema and live reload
- A redesigned metric strip and host dashboard with smooth live sparklines; search beside the session tabs
- In-app updates
