Free is a full SSH client, with no account or time limit. Gatesys Pro adds Farabi, every AI feature and more terminals, free for 3 months, then $20 a year.
Gatesys SSH has two plans. Free is a full SSH client, with one terminal in each session, and every safety feature that runs without a model, for as long as you like, with no account. Gatesys Pro adds Farabi, the features a model takes part in, and more than one terminal per session.

Free
Free includes sessions to as many hosts as you like, each with one terminal, local terminals on this computer, and every SFTP, jump-host, tunnel, vault and audit feature, plus the parts of Hop Doctor, host facts, Health, command safety, Safe Change and the Injection Shield that run on rules rather than a model. Sentences you type for a watch, a tunnel or a host are still read, by rules on your computer. Free never expires and needs no account: install the app and use it.
Gatesys Pro
Pro unlocks the model-backed features, and more than one terminal in a session. The model is yours: a free local one, your own API key with a cloud provider, or an agent CLI you are already signed in to. See AI providers.

The free trial
- Every account gets 3 months of Pro free, once, with no card.
- The trial starts when you confirm your email address.
- There is one trial per account, ever.
To start, create an account from the app and activate Pro with your account’s plan. See Sign in and licence.
After the trial
Pro then costs $20 a year. You can subscribe at any time during the trial without losing any of it: the first charge lands on the day the trial ends. See Billing.
Team plans
An account on a Team plan shows Team in place of Pro, with its organisation and the seats in use. It unlocks the same features.
When Pro ends
If a trial or a paid year ends without renewal, the account drops back to Free.
- Nothing is removed. Your hosts, keys, snippets, audit log, host facts and settings stay exactly as they are, and so does what you set up for Pro: your providers, your model choices and your hooks.
- Every Free feature keeps working. Sentences for watches, tunnels and hosts are read by rules, as with the assistant off.
- Open terminals stay open. A session with several terminal tabs or panes keeps them until you close them; only a new tab or split asks for Pro.
- Pro features show an upgrade card in their place, with Get Pro, or Renew Pro when a licence ended. Hooks you added stay listed, paused, and send again with Pro. Every provider in the list stays, and the default one answers. Your instructions and skills stay in their files.
When you subscribe, each device picks Pro up at its next licence check. See The daily check and offline grace.
Seats
A Pro plan has one seat: Pro is active on one computer at a time. Activating the app takes the seat, and activating the same installation again reuses it. To move Pro to another computer, click Deactivate this device in the app, or remove the computer on gatesys.ai/account/devices, then activate on the new one. Team plans have the seats the organisation bought. See Seats.
Check your plan
- In the app: Settings › Account shows your account’s plan, the licence on this device, the seat in use, the last licence check and the date it works offline until.
- On the web: gatesys.ai/account shows your plan, how many trial days are left, when your current period ends, and your devices.
